Illusion wizard is a great subclass on its own but for the low low price of taking the Eldritch Adept feat to get the invocation Misty Visions it becomes absolutely busted

I don't know man, I got my player to send me a list of 6 difrent animals making him think I would make a cool hombrew monster for them to fight, but I actually gave his sister lycanthropy of that animal.

In my second ever session, my DM specifically pointed out a treasure chest in a small room. I immediately was worried whether or not it was a mimic, so, I stayed far away from it. Turns out, it actually was a mimic and my character could have died, considering he was a wizard who was level 1 or 2 at the time

When I played a Wild Magic Sorcerer we surged every time I cast a levelled spell, it was hilarious. I ended up accidentally making all of the party vulnerable to slashing, bludgeoning, and piercing damage, but missed catching the enemies in that aoe

The argument that the Mystic class steps on other classes toes is full on BS, because more than half the classes step on the Wizards toes. Don't get me started on Bards! Talk about a class that steps on other classes toes. If there ever was a class to take out of the game because of stepping on toes. The Bard should go!

Also it shouldnt be every time, just roll for it secretly that makes it somewhat more evil

Oh using this. One of my favorite tricks is the ugly tree which wacks them with the ugly stick, which makes their face permanently disfigured, reducing their charisma.

I do this to loot goblins who run off on their own. 😈

I normally ignore the pact magic scaling at max cause its stupid sometimes So i normally allow players to use whatever spell slot they want with their spells

Good idea but how does it really work? I mean does everything become a mimic even if others are present or does it only happen when the cursed player is alone? And does everything really turn into a mimic or this only in the cursed player's mind?

Be very careful of what kinda blur you use for censoring. It's better to use a bar or something, some types of blur can be reversed with editing software.

... I need more information on this to implement it.

I think the funniest unintentional thing i have done to traumatize the party was this. They were making a battle plan on how to attack a castle surrounded by a moat inside a zoo of fantasy animals. (Centaurs and Bullywugs stuff like that) They were assigning points of interest to investigate before they set the plan In stone... And then my phone's alarm went off, I rolled a die... The party panicked and everything they had spent an hour talking about went out the window, and it turned into a hectic break neck mess of a fight and breakout. The funny thing was the alarm was reminding me to go to the shop to buy milk before it shut, and I rolled the die coz it was sat on a 1. Great trick if your party is getting to comfortable.

Secret player notes, rumors of a changling killer, one accidental death a la Winterfell “murders”, and a town of innocent changlings. 😈😝😂🤣

The spider that is a summon is more like a tarrantular, which wouldn't technicallybe a spider shut up, D&D gets weird about very small creatures, spiders are bigger than youd think

I thought I was evil when I made a group of mind flayers talk in business buzzwords.

One of the many reasons I play TTRPGs is that game breaking flaws like this in the rigid rules can be ironed out by the DM, this is not a video game kiddies, if you want to do things like this go play a video game.
